Return Policy

Online Orders

We get it. Sometimes your order isn't exactly what you expected. Maybe the person you bought it for already has it and you can't think of anyone else to give it to. Stuff happens and we want you to be happy with your perfect purchase!

We will accept any returns of any items with the exception of pre-ordered items, within 14 days of you receiving it. For pre-orders, please read our Pre-Order Policy.

Please simply ship the item(s) you wish to return back to us at the return address on the package label and we will issue you a full refund (minus shipping) once we receive the item back. You can also email us to give us a head's up so we can watch for the return. If you send it back with tracking info and give us the tracking number, we will issue your refund as soon as we see it has been picked up by the shipper.

All orders placed on our website are packaged and shipped within 2-3 business days. You will receive your receipt, shipping details and tracking number(s) at the email you used at checkout. If you provided a phone number, you may also be texted your tracking information.

Shipping Damage

All orders from our website are packaged and shipped by us directly to you via USPS, UPS or Fedex with insurance.

Everything packaged is carefully inspected before we ship it to you. Our quality control ensures your order is correct and in new and undamaged* condition.

*Occasionally we receive slightly dinged boxes in shipping from our vendors. Any items with known packaging issues such as dinged corners or a creased box are notated in the item description and photos. Refunds will not be issued for any items knowingly purchased with these disclosed conditions.

If we receive damaged boxes from our manufacturers we may request a replacement box. This may add a couple months to the shipping timeline. We try to ensure all items on our site have already been inspected for mint condition quality.

If your package arrives damaged you have 7 days after tracking shows "Delivered" in order to file a damage claim. This means your claim must be filed with us within 7 days of the shipping carrier's "Delivered" date shown on tracking data. Please send pictures of the damage and outside packaging within these 7 days to support@nerdvanaoutpost.com.

Note: Minor packaging flaw that doesn't affect the product itself is not a defect or damage for insurance or refund claims. We are also not responsible for any damage caused by mail or package forwarding.

Lost Packages

Once an order leaves our facility, it is out of our hands and in control of the shipping company. If your order is lost in shipping (hey, it happens), we will refund it. However, if the item shows up as "Delivered" after refunding, we will request you either return the item to us or pay for it. Shippers can get overwhelmed during busy seasons and ship times can vary. Just because it hasn't shown up yet or tracking data hasn't been updated for several days during these times, does NOT mean it's lost forever.

Unfortunately we are unable to issue any refunds for packages with tracking data that shows "Delivered," even if you did not receive it. We recommend a video doorbell to make sure you know what happens to your packages if you're not home to receive them!

Online Sales Returns

All orders are final after 24 hours. Often they're prepped for shipping within 24 hours. Once an item has a tracking number, that order cannot be canceled as it may already be in the hands of the shipper.

If we sent you the wrong thing, please contact us at support@nerdvanaoutpost.com within 7 days of the tracking data receipt (delivery). We'll process a return and replacement at no charge to you. If for some reason your originally ordered product is no longer in stock, you'll receive a full refund and shipping label to ship the wrong product back to us.

You also have the choice to keep the product shipped to you and we'll return any difference in price. If the item we shipped you cost more than your ordered and unshipped item, you may choose to keep the wrong item at no additional cost to you.

If we sent you the wrong thing, we may require photos of the product(s) sent. Please email support@nerdvanaoutpost.com for more information and to start the process. If your shipment qualifies for a return, we'll send you instructions and a return label.

Any returns sent back to us with no formal emailed authorization will be refused and a refund will not be issued.

If you return the item(s), we will issue the refund upon receipt of the returned item(s) in resale-able condition, not before.

Returns will not be processed after 7 days of delivery. This means if the tracking data shows delivered, you have 7 days from that date to inspect your packages for accuracy.

In-Store Sales

Any item purchased in-store may be returned if it's not opened or played with. Packaging must be in resell-able condition.

Items may not be returned after 30 days from the date of purchase.

If you have the store receipt items may be returned for a refund or exchange, and if you do not have the receipt it will be exchanged at the discretion of a manager.

Items with a manufacturing flaw will be refunded or exchanged within the 30-day period.
